Theology proper is a study of God. In Christianity it is used as a more general term to include study of religious faith, practice and experience. Systematic theology is a branch of theology where the goal is to organize and arrange Christian beliefs in a logical and comprehensive manner. In other words, it seeks to understand and articulate what the Bible teaches about various doctrines. At a basic level and what you will explore in this class is a study of various biblical doctrines where the defining words are actually taken from the Bible itself.
As an introductory course in theology you will hear lectures on the attributes of God, the Trinity, Humanity and Sin, the Person and Work of Christ, the Holy Spirit, Salvation, the Church, and Last Times. These will be presented by Dr. Bruce Ware who is currently Professor of Christian Theology at Southern Seminary.
As Dr. Ware points out, “we all have a theology”. How does yours match up with what the Bible teaches? The goal of this course is not just to expose you to these basic Bible doctrines but to equip you to be able to articulate them and be confident in your beliefs that they are truly anchored in God’s Word.
This course is offered free through BiblicalTraining.org. There is a link to the website where you will need to register for the class. It is free. Once you are registered, you can begin to listen to the lectures. There is a student handbook that can be downloaded, or you can purchase it from Amazon ($13.95).
The procedure for the class will be to listen to the lecture on the BiblicalTraining.org website. When you complete listening to the lecture you will return to the Systematic Theology course site in FindingtheFew.org. There under the specific lecture you will find a link for the quiz. You will need a passing score of 80% to be able to proceed to the next lecture.

2. In the search window enter the course name, “Understanding Theology”. Click “Attend this Class” to enroll.
3. There are 10 lessons. Click the lesson beginning with number “01” and play the video lecture. On the lesson page you will find an outline for the lecture and a transcribed copy of the lecture.
